Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian and TV personality most well-known as anchor for The Talk, a popular talk show that airs on daytime TV. Born in Arkansas She was raised within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl comes from an extended family with numerous issues. She grew up taking care of her older sister Frankie. Frankie was a patient of polio. While growing up, Sheryl was plagued by problems with her mom. Sheryl said that at one point her mother had stabbed one of the parents to her son as she was too close to the father. Sheryl was a soldier following her graduation from college. She was interested in comedy. She was the first woman to be a finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. She began her TV work in 1992 by appearing as a frequently performing performer on HBO's comedy show Def Comedy Jam. The show was on Oh Drama! as the host in the year 2000. Seit 2011, she is co-hosting the Talk show. She has also played an unnamed character on programs like Bulworth Nicki as well as Beauty Shop.
